In my classroom, we spend A LOT of time on the floor! So, since the {Holly Jolly Tree} can’t be used all day, I decided to use one of my gingerbread man stuffed animals as another incentive- {One Smart Cookie} for smart behavior!
It works the same way as the tree, when I notice a student showing me smart behavior, they get to hold the gingerbread man on the carpet. I don’t have a set time limit for this either. When I notice they start playing with it, or it becomes a distraction it is given to another student OR when I really notice another student is doing a great job, I ask them to pass it to that student! Again- SUPER simple!

That's a fair argument. He pitched 90 innings in the minors his first year with the team though, and 120 innings total. While I agree it is a bit of a stretch, he did spend some time in the minors and the Yankees are the team that gave him his shot. I don't think his inclusion on this team is against the spirit of the discussion, although if someone else made this list and excluded him from it for those reasons I would not argue with them.lisa

Our art teachers recently did a project where all the students made colorful butterflies and then Costa Blanca they attached them all to a bulletin board in the shape of a GIANT butterfly. Might be a cool way to display them.Lisa
